‘22 Overcrest Rally for Marqued

High speed on slow roads. Slow speed on high roads. Getting lost for the sake of getting lost. Getting lost and finding yourself. For three days each year, over 100 people descend upon a faroff waypoint for adventure and exploration. “Take The Car” is Overcrest’s mantra, and attendees embrace this way of life to its fullest extent. Vehicles make the trek in from every corner of the US, often covering thousands of miles before the rally even begins. Old friends catch up over morning coffees and late night fires, and new friends are made over popped tires, busted headlights and impromptu pit stops for an afternoon beer down narrow gravel roads. Cell reception is meager at best. Screen time drops to mere minutes a day. However you want to describe it - God’s Country, the great wilderness, America’s Heartland - you are in it.
